Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By registering and using Haruko, you accept these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies published on the platform.

2. Description of service

Haruko is an AI-powered math tutoring platform for 7th grade students in Chile, aligned with the MINEDUC curriculum. The service includes Tutor, Evaluation, Challenge modules, a persistent notebook, and a guardian dashboard.

3. Account and responsibilities

  • The guardian (18+ years old) registers the account and is responsible for it.
  • The guardian creates the minor child's account with explicit consent.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Payments and refunds

  • Prices are published in CLP (Chilean pesos) on the plans page.
  • Payment is processed through Mercado Pago Chile.
  • Annual plan: 30-day satisfaction guarantee with full refund.
  • Monthly plan: cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Canceling a subscription does NOT delete your child's data.

5. Intellectual property

  • Curriculum content, exercises, prompts, and Haruko's design are owned by Haruko SpA.
  • Data generated by the student (notebook, compiled model) belongs to the data subject (guardian/student) and is exportable.
  • You do not acquire any ownership rights over the platform by using it.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the platform for purposes other than the registered student's learning.
  • Do not attempt to extract other users' data.
  • Do not attempt to inject malicious instructions into AI agents.
  • Do not share credentials with third parties.

7. Limitation of liability

Haruko is a learning support tool, not a substitute for formal education. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes. The platform is delivered "as is" within reasonable standards of availability and quality.

8. Modifications

We may modify these terms with 30 days' notice. If changes are material, we will notify you by email. Continued use after notification implies acceptance.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. Any dispute shall be resolved before the ordinary courts of Santiago, Chile.
